NCLB Teacher Requirements/HOUSSE

Description

NCLB sets rules on the minimum qualifications for teachers and paraprofessionals. A teacher must meet the NCLB Teacher Requirements provisions as a "new" or "not new" teacher in the grade level or subject matter he/she teaches. This means the teacher has passed the state certification or licensing exam, holds a bachelor’s degree and has passed a formal assessment or has done major coursework in certain subject areas.
