Dunsmuir, an historic railroad town located in the Sacramento River canyon, has a population of around 2000. Located in Siskiyou County, Dunsmuir is approximately one hour from the Oregon border. Dunsmuir is a favorite fly fishing retreat, and is less than 30 minutes away from Mt. Shasta Board and Ski Park. Golf, hiking on the Pacific Crest Trail, and mountain lake fishing and boating are minutes away.
