Here are some newspaper articles  written about the State of Jefferson by the local paper, The Siskiyou Daily News and the San Francisco Chronicle during a two month period in 1941 when the State of Jefferson movement was at its height.  It was promptly ended with the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the beginning of WWII.
